We are living in unique times, to put it politely. I prefer to live on the bright side of life, but I do not ignore the hardship and suffering being experienced across the world. I do my part to help bring more joy and hope into people's lives so we can all overcome any of the suffering and hardships we experience on our journey. Once I was able to manage my own hardships with healthier responses, I began embracing the challenge in overcoming personal hardships. I looked for opportunities and lessons. I wanted to learn and grow into my best version. It became a game for me.
I have a much better handle on life after overcoming many hardships but also by learning lessons and growing from them. This is why I am so excited for the back nine holes in my golf round of life. I learned so much on the front nine. Starting out the back nine I am playing smarter and more relaxed. I am appreciating the scenery more and taking in deeper breaths of fresh air. I am definitely not taking myself too seriously. Even if I am hitting out of the weeds, I'm still enjoying my round. Maybe the next shot will be straight. 😁
Learning to appreciate the simple things in life has had a profound effect on me. I also stopped treating life like some prison sentence I was living out. When I started treating myself and others with more respect I saw the benefits of self-care and gratitude toward life experiences, both fortunate and unfortunate. Even when things don't go my way, I'm thankful for the experience to learn and grow. We get to choose how we respond when life hands us a reality check. By taking better care of ourselves in the process, we have the ability to bounce back quicker from setbacks.
It is an amazing time to be alive. Sure, we are living in the midst of a pandemic, but there are multiple approved vaccines being administered a year later. This is amazing! Elon Musk has accelerated electric vehicle production and will be flying people to Mars! Data is successfully being teleported while constructing a quantum internet! I also believe that the internet, even with it's dark side, has the ability to unite people, communities, countries and even the world. I look to the future with hope and blind faith in Love helping elevate humanity. I am grateful to be alive during this blip in space and time. I'm honored to be on this ride and enjoying it to the fullest!
