Fashioning compassion

"I feel that there is nothing more truly artistic than to love people."

If I am painting my perfect picture of the world it would be filled with Love. So much Love! ♥️ Kindness would be everyone's default mode. We would show more Love to those who need it the most. We would treat our neighbors as family and our co-workers as friends. We would resolve our differences by respecting each other's point of view and by finding solutions and common ground through compromise. Joy and laughter would be the norm at home and in the office. Everyone's basic needs would be met, and then some! We would all take care of each other, regardless. Team Humanity thriving as One, all because of Love. A very rosy picture indeed! 🌹

I'm not sure when kindness and compassion went out of fashion, but I never got the memo. Since reconnecting with my heart in 2006 through deep reflection and soul searching, all l want to do is spread more Love and show more Love. I know it's not for everyone. Some people have so many scars on their hearts the very idea of Love in any form seems like a lost cause. I get it. I have worked with young adults who were abandoned or betrayed by family and friends. The world can seem very cruel at times. We don't know why we are dealt the hand life gives us, but it's our duty to play it to the best of our abilities.

I had to address the wounds and scars left on my heart so I could dissolve that thick outer layer preventing me from accessing Love. I had to reach deep inside myself to see that by pushing others away and not loving myself I was only making matters worse. Once I accessed the eternal Love that permeates through all of us in the Aether, I understood how important Love is to our existence. l feel it everywhere! We all have access to it.

I found when I come from a place of Love, no matter what situation I am in, I feel good walking away. I am always looking for the win-win and rooting for the people I associate with, whether I have known them for a minute or a lifetime. I live The Golden Rule. I still picture my Team Humanity dream of everybody living together in harmony, as One. Some people may say it’s a silly vision to have, but I never understood that. When people tell me it is not possible, I know what they mean. I understand where they are coming from. I just see it differently when I am coming from a place of Love.

More Wellness!
